She and I are going to Mexico with a good friend of mine who has a daughter the same age as Amy–they have played softball on many teams together and although they go to different high schools, have remained pretty good friends. I look forward to the trip. It will be a lot of mom/daughter bonding.
I am also thinking of fracking insurance for her car. It is OK right now because she doesn’t get her license until July 13. (long stupid story that is part of the law where we live). So, she is 16. Completed Driver’s Education Training. Has a car. No license.
Insurance when the last comes true?
An increase of about 200 bucks a month.

200 bucks. She has liabilty on her car. BUT apparently, she is rated on ALL of the cars in our household. WTF? I should have just let her DRIVE mine then! Seriously if I pay to insure her on it, I may as well let her drive the frappin thing.
So, July. 200 bucks more.

Love the purple sweetie!!! Did you know I work in insurance??? Make sure you look at your coverages, sometimes they give discounts if you up your liability, do you have 100/300/100 or 250/500/100?? also look at your deductibles on your vehicles and make sure they are giving you all your discounts. Especially for her drivers training and if she has good grades the good student discount. If all that has been gone over with a fine tooth comb, SHOP AROUND a lot of companies are pricing different right now and longevity is not necessarily the key. Washington ins is a rip off, but doesn’t mean you have to get ripped off yourself!! =) Hope this helps! Love you!
Love the new layout! I’m soooo glad that Ashley doesn’t live with us! I looked at what the difference in insurance would be for us and it’s appalling!
I’ll be feeling the blues with you come August though…our move to Italy means our insurance costs will DOUBLE! I have to keep reminding myself what a good opportunity this will be because thinking of all the money we’ll be spending/losing is enough to make my hyperventilate!
